Dr. Sayani Das, Post Doctoral Research Fellow on Geriatric Health in Bar-Ilan University, Israel, recently visited our office at Banchbo Healing Touch Foundation and shared her experiences from her postdoctoral research in Geriatric Health in Israel. Having also worked in the Senior Citizens Division of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment with the Government of India, she possesses a wealth of knowledge regarding Geriatric care in our nation. We exchanged our experiences related to Home-based Geriatric care—as pioneers providing Geriatric Home Healthcare services in Eastern India—as well as our rural experiences in the remote Sundarban and Jungle Mahal regions of West Bengal. This sharing of knowledge and experiences undoubtedly enriched us and aids in developing comprehensive Geriatric care strategies for our country and potential collaborations.
