Bariya Dao Tomar Haat

Always with Brighter future…

We have observed & seen in our project areas like Sundarban & Jungle Mahal districts like West Midnapur, Purulia, Bankura etc and also read in the news papers that many meritorious but financially weak students forced to stop their education just because of financial constraints, which is really unfortunate.

Considering the above fact our organization has extended its hands to provide Scholarship for meritorious and financially weak students under the programme ” Bariye Dao Tomar Haat” (Lets extend your hands) – an initiative to support economically marginalized secondary / madhyamik passed meritorious students, mainly from Sundarban & Jungle Mahal area of West Bengal, started in the year 2011.

The criteria for the applicants are:

  • Students must secure 80% marks in respective examinations
  • Family income not exceeding Rs.10,000/- per month
  • Preferably residence of Sundarban & Districts of Jungle Mahal

Our main mentor of this initiative is London Sharad Utsav. Many of our senior members of Banchbo healing touch & our wellwishers also extended their support in this endevour. This collaborative effort benefit many students of remote rural areas to continue their study. Few of them also admitted in Professional courses like Medical & Engineering. In some situation we also help them with the cost of the study material.

We always believe that remarkable results of this remote area’s students is not possible without getting dedicated guidance & support from their school teachers as because there is no tution facility in this remote areas. To encourage & recognise their school’s effort we have started an initiative to recognise & encourage the “Best School Award” of our project block area Patharpratima block.
